Commencing Friday, 11th February 2022, we posted teasers on the Facebook Group, ABZ Rare Birds, advertising the latest edition of the North-East Scotland Bird Report (NESBR 2020).
As was, hopefully, obvious to anyone who read the posts, the first line of each, either quoted directly or drew inspiration from classic advertising slogans - seven posts in all - up to and including Thursday, 17th February 2022.
We listed all the “clues” on this page and the competition was to identify which brand or product is connected with each slogan.

Each of the phrases above were based on a slogan used by a well-known brand in their advertising campaigns past and present.
All competitors had to do was identify which slogan was used by which brand and send your answers to us.
Prizes included copies of the latest NESBR, back issues, plus calendars and greetings cards featuring photographs taken by celebrated local photographer Ron Macdonald many of whose photographs are already on this website.
The names of all participants who sent in correct answers were entered into a draw within a week of the competition ending. Winners' names, locations were posted above on Thursday 10th March 2022.
